List of doll safety warnings based on the requirements of General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988 (GPSR): * Choking risk: Dolls often contain small items such as clothes, buttons, hair that can be swallowed by young children. Make sure that the doll is suitable for the age of the child and that all the small parts are well attached. Regularly check the doll for loose elements. * Sharp edges and ends: Some dolls or their accessories may have sharp edges or ends that can cause cuts or scratches. Regularly inspect the doll and accessories for damage. * Allergies: Some of the materials used to make dolls, such as latex or some dyes, can cause allergic reactions in some children. Make sure the doll is made of hypoallergenic materials. If your child has a known allergy, check the composition of the doll before buying. * Strings and Ribbons: Strings and ribbons that are found in the doll's clothes or her hair can pose a risk of suffocation, especially for young children. Make sure they are short and well attached. * Magnets: Some dolls may contain small magnets that, swallowed, can cause serious internal damage. Make sure that the doll does not contain easily accessible magnets. * Batteries: If the doll has electronic features, make sure the battery compartment is protected from being opened by children. Swallowing the battery can lead to serious injury or death. * Keeping clean: Clean the doll regularly to prevent the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms. Use mild cleaners and avoid immersing the doll in water unless expressly permitted. * Secure storage: Keep dolls safe and secure, out of reach of young children when not in use. * Damage: Regularly inspect the doll for damage, such as cracks, tears, or loose pieces. Damaged dolls should be repaired or discarded. * Doll weight: Avoid giving very heavy dolls to young children, as they can pose a risk of injury during play. * Consumer Warning: Always read and follow the manufacturer's recommendations for age and safety of use.
